Our camps offer opportunities for students to get an overview of the different aspects of horse care and riding. Camp sizes are kept small, at only 6 students per camp, to maximize the amount of time that students get to spend at each of our learning stations. Stations include:
Basic Horse Knowledge & Care, Leading, Shoeing, Riding, Games on Horseback, Roping, & Arts & Crafts.
In addition to teaching about horse care and riding, our objective is also to encourage problem solving and teamwork between the students and their horses as well as between each other.
Day Camp: 9am-12pm $125.00
Week Camp: Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm $425.00
junior intern program
Teens start at age 12 in our Junior Intern Program. Teens volunteer on Saturdays & Sundays from set times between 8am & 1pm. They get horses ready for each class by grooming, tacking, leading, lounging. Interns help with lessons by leading horses, teaching things they have learned to new students under the Supervision of a Certified Instructor. Interns help with all aspects of horse care. (Cleaning & Watering) Interns help with office paper work also. Our Interns learn life long skills with horses, business, teamwork and giving back to the community. Our Amazing Interns are an Incredible Life Line to running SpiritHorse.
Starting at age 4, children can join our Pre-School program. This program includes learning horse care and safety as well as letters, numbers, colors, and foundation social skills. This program is specialized to teach everyday pre-school topics infused with horsemanship skills including grooming, basic horse anatomy, and riding.
Available to all age groups (ages 7 and up) and riding levels, our Western riding lessons are offered with the focus of teaching balanced riding. Lessons are taught in a safe, progressive manner in which the students feel a sense of achievement. As our riders progress, we even coordinate opportunities for them to participate in horse shows!
